Guest Services

Local Pubs & Restaurants

  • The Oxford Blue
Ask for Rob, the landlord, he is a good colleague of our establishment and always looks after our guests. The Oxford Blue is a true Oxford University pub, popular by all the University sportsmen, as it is located opposite the University sports facilities on the Iffley Road. The food is well presented and of very good quality. Food is served up to 9pm.

  • The Duke of Cambridge
Once again, ask for Rob, but call him Roberto. This is the best cocktail bar in the city, the drinks are great and if you catch "happy hour" then they are really cheap. The atmosphere is phenomenal, to quote regulars, there is no where like "The Duke". Light snacks are served but no full meals.

  • The House
Ask for Dave, the manager. This is a sister bar to The Duke and here they also offer fantastic cocktails, once again if you catch "happy hour" then they are really cheap. The atmosphere is very "University" orientated with an excellent games room including a pool table. Thai food is available but only in finger form, no full meals.

  • Quod
The staff changes frequently as they are often made up of students, so no one to ask for, but the food is good, and the ambience is unique, a little dressier than all of the above but you can still go in jeans and a T-shirt. Check out the menu attached, and try to get a table by the window as there are great views of the collages and dreaming spires.
